As temperatures rise across the Philippines during the summer months, many households face higher electricity use to stay cool. This often results in higher power bills and concerns about possible power interruptions.

Jackery is promoting this approach through its portable solar products. The company aims to make solar energy more accessible by offering equipment designed for simple setup and everyday use.
But the same sunlight that brings intense heat can also serve as a reliable source of energy. Solar power offers an alternative way to generate electricity, especially in a country that receives strong sunlight throughout the year.
Why it Matters: The Philippines receives abundant sunlight due to its location near the equator. This makes solar energy a practical option for households and businesses looking to reduce electricity costs and maintain access to power during outages.
Portable solar power systems are becoming more common as people look for flexible energy solutions. These systems allow users to generate and store electricity without relying entirely on the power grid.

To support this, Jackery introduced its SolarSaga series of portable solar panels. Unlike traditional rooftop solar systems that require fixed installation, SolarSaga panels are designed to be foldable and lightweight so they can be easily carried, deployed, and stored.
The SolarSaga panels are designed to work with Jackery’s portable power stations, including the Explorer 300 Plus and Explorer 1000 Plus. When combined, the panels and power stations function as a portable solar generator system that can charge devices or provide backup power.

The panels are available in 100W and 200W versions. According to the company, the SolarSaga series can convert up to 25 percent of sunlight into usable energy for charging.
The panels also feature IP68-rated protection against water and dust, which allows them to operate in outdoor environments. Their foldable design allows users to transport and store them more easily when not in use.
You can shop the Jackery Explorer series today via its official Shopee and Lazada stores or through Techroom’s Shopee and Lazada pages.
As energy demand continues to grow during the summer months, portable solar systems offer another option for households and businesses looking to supplement their electricity supply.
Could portable solar solutions become a more common backup power option for Filipino homes?
