Why it matters: Mastra is one of the few mobile MOBAs that puts Southeast Asian culture at the forefront. With original characters, stories, and game design influenced by regional myths, Todak hopes to bring more attention to local heritage through accessible, fast-paced gameplay.

Mastra is set in a fictional world inspired by Southeast Asian folklore. It features 12 original champions with unique roles, abilities, and cultural references. Gameplay is streamlined—there’s no item shop, only stat-based builds—allowing players to focus more on teamwork and mechanics rather than complex gear systems.

Players joining the open beta can expect:

  • Free-to-play access starting August 13, 2025
  • 12 champions with distinct playstyles
  • A simplified MOBA experience with no item builds
  • Classic 5v5 game mode for solo or team play
  • Community events offering in-game skins and rewards

Todak, founded in 2018, has focused on developing original titles that reflect Southeast Asian stories and creativity. Mastra is part of the studio’s goal to create globally competitive games while keeping regional culture at the core. The studio also emphasizes community-driven development and encourages players to report bugs, give feedback, and engage in discussions via the official Mastra Discord and social channels.

Download links, patch notes, preorder registration, and future updates will be shared on the website. The game will be available for both Android and iOS platforms at launch.
