MOVE IT rolls out “Keep Moving” promise to address metro traffic challenges

MOVE IT rolls out ‘Keep Moving pledge leverages intelligent routing in ride tech 1

Why it Matters: With worsening urban traffic, transport platforms are under pressure to improve efficiency, safety, and service standards while balancing rider productivity and commuter demand.

MOVE IT has introduced its new brand promise, “Keep Moving,” highlighting a people led and technology enabled approach to improve booking reliability, ride safety, and professional service standards for commuters and rider partners navigating daily traffic in Metro Manila.

The company cited TomTom traffic data for Manila in 2025, which shows that drivers and commuters can lose around 143 hours a year in rush hour traffic, equivalent to more than five days spent on the road. According to MOVE IT General Manager Wayne Jacinto, the campaign reflects a broader commitment to helping commuters regain time lost to congestion.

Keep Moving Reliably: MOVE IT said its reliability efforts are supported by tools such as intelligent trip routing and rider matching. The platform uses GrabMaps and Navigation to provide updated ETAs, optimized pick up and drop off points, and routes that adjust to real time road conditions.

It also implements Back to Back Bookings, a feature that assigns a rider’s next trip before the current one ends to reduce idle time and increase service availability.

Keep Moving Safely: The platform highlighted in app safety tools including a Safety Center, where users can add emergency contacts, share trip details, and request assistance. A Share Your Ride feature allows trusted contacts to track trips in real time.

MOVE IT also uses Trip Monitoring, which analyzes GPS and telematics data to flag potential risk signals such as route deviations, unplanned stops, crashes, or unusual trip terminations. These alerts may trigger proactive checks or manual intervention by safety teams.

An opt in feature called AudioProtect enables encrypted in ride audio recording, which can only be accessed if a safety related report is filed. The company also uses mutual ratings and reporting tools to review feedback and apply retraining or restrictions when necessary.

Keep Moving with Professional Riders: MOVE IT said it continues to enforce service standards covering rider screening, training, and discipline. These include expectations on road safety, passenger courtesy, and overall professionalism.

As motorcycle taxi services become a key option for urban mobility, will reliability and safety innovations shape commuter trust in the years ahead?
