PhilTower MIDC has reached a major milestone after completing 1,000 built-to-suit towers across the country. The company is currently the fastest independent tower builder in the Philippines to reach this number, with sites covering urban centers and remote Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA), including parts of the Cordilleras.

Why it Matters: Tower infrastructure speeds up digital access and supports economic activity in communities. Faster rollout means more areas get connected within shorter timelines.
PhilTower MIDC works with national agencies, regulators, and local governments to streamline permits and secure locations, even in areas that are difficult to access. In four years, it has built towers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao at a faster rate compared to other independent tower companies in the country.
According to the company, more than 200 sites were under simultaneous construction at the height of its rollout. PhilTower MIDC said this was made possible through operational planning and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
President and CEO Devid H. Gubiani said the mission is to bring reliable connectivity to Filipinos wherever they are, adding that disciplined execution and investments helped sustain the momentum.
The company has so far invested over PHP 20 billion in tower construction and digital infrastructure. Local contractors, engineers, suppliers, and skilled workers are involved in each project, which the company says provides both connectivity and employment in surrounding communities.
Every new tower allows mobile network operators to expand coverage in underserved areas. MNOs can co-locate on these sites to activate services more quickly and provide stronger signal.
PhilTower MIDC is preparing to pass the 4,000 operational sites mark soon, positioning itself as one of the key players in the country’s digital infrastructure push. The company said it aims to continue expanding through wider co-locations and stronger last-mile access as part of its goal of supporting a more inclusive digital future for the Philippines.
