AF Payments Incorporated, the company behind beep™ cards has announced a new “Rail Disruption Cover” for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens. The program provides P500 in transit credits when services on Metro Manila rail lines are disrupted or delayed.

Why It Matters: Many PWDs and seniors depend on trains for daily travel. Disruptions in service can leave them stranded. This cover gives a safety net, helping them complete their trip using other transport when rail lines fail.
Under the scheme, eligible cardholders are automatically covered—no separate registration or fees are needed. Qualifying events include train delays of 55 minutes or more, mechanical failures, accidents, or other service interruptions.
When a disruption occurs, the P500 credit will be credited to the affected beep™ card. The credit can be used for alternative transport such as jeepneys or buses.
The cover runs from December 1, 2025 until January 31, 2026. Credits issued during that period remain valid until February 28, 2026.
This benefit applies to all valid concessionary cards registered to PWDs or senior citizens.
With disruptions to rail commutes often unpredictable, will this rail disruption cover encourage more PWDs and seniors to rely on beep™‑enabled rail travel with confidence?
