Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G and A57 5G in the Philippines, expanding its midrange lineup with upgrades in design, camera, performance, and connectivity. Both devices follow a more refined look with a slimmer profile and a redesigned rear camera layout, while also adding new AI-driven camera and editing features aimed at everyday users.

Why it Matters: The Galaxy A series continues to be a key segment for Samsung in the Philippines, especially as more users look for balanced devices that offer good cameras, long battery life, and reliable performance without reaching flagship-level pricing.
Both devices introduce what Samsung calls an Ambient Island design, which gives the rear camera module a cleaner and more minimal look. The Galaxy A57 5G stands out with a thinner 6.9mm body, while the Galaxy A37 5G measures 7.4mm.
Build quality has also been improved, with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front and back of both devices. Both models come with IP68 dust and water resistance.
On the camera side, both phones feature a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization. The Galaxy A57 5G includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro lens, while the Galaxy A37 5G uses an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro.
Both devices also have a 12MP front camera with HDR video support. Samsung is highlighting improvements in low-light photography through enhanced image processing, along with faster shot-to-shot capture using multi-frame technology. The A57 also introduces smoother zoom transitions between lenses. AI-powered tools such as Best Face and editing suggestions are included to help users improve photos directly on the device.
Performance differs between the two models. The Galaxy A57 5G runs on the Exynos 1680 processor, while the Galaxy A37 5G uses the Exynos 1480.
For connectivity, the Galaxy A57 5G supports Wi-Fi 6E, which uses the less congested 6GHz band for more stable connections in crowded environments. The Galaxy A37 5G, on the other hand, supports Wi-Fi 6. Both devices come with 5G support and are powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The displays on both models are similar, featuring a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness reaches up to 1,200 nits in high brightness mode and up to 1,900 nits peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility.
