Samsung to unveil AI-powered Bespoke kitchen appliances with Google Gemini at CES 2026

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced that it will introduce its latest kitchen appliances lineup at CES 2026, featuring updated versions of its Bespoke AI refrigerator, over-the-range microwave, and slide-in range. The showcase will focus on refreshed designs and expanded vision-based AI features developed with Google Gemini and Google Cloud, aimed at simplifying daily kitchen tasks.

Why It Matters: As home appliances move toward deeper AI integration, Samsung’s use of vision-based AI and cloud-backed intelligence signals how kitchens may become more personalized and automated, shifting appliances from passive tools to systems that actively assist with food management, cooking, and organization.

At CES 2026, Samsung will debut an upgraded Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub with enhanced AI Vision capabilities. The new system marks the first integration of Google Gemini into a refrigerator. Samsung says the upgraded AI Vision can recognize more food items than before, including processed foods without prior manual registration. It is also designed to detect user-labeled items stored in personal containers, automatically adding them to the food list for easier tracking.

With improved ingredient recognition, Samsung aims to make food inventory management clearer and more accurate. The company plans to demonstrate new use cases for AI Vision at CES, highlighting how the technology can support more personalized food-related experiences in the kitchen.

Samsung will also introduce a new Bespoke AI Wine Cellar equipped with AI Vision built using Google Gemini. A camera inside the unit recognizes wine labels as bottles are stored or removed, automatically updating the SmartThings AI Wine Manager. The system can track the exact shelf and compartment location of each bottle, allowing users to check their collection digitally. It can also provide wine information and pairing suggestions based on the inventory.

Alongside AI upgrades, Samsung is rolling out a refreshed stainless-look design across select French Door refrigerators, slide-in ranges, and OTR microwaves to support a more unified kitchen aesthetic. The new Bespoke AI 3-Door French Door refrigerator features a zero-clearance fit and a reduced door depth, allowing drawers to open fully even when installed close to walls. It also includes an AutoView transparent door for quickly checking stored items.

The updated slide-in range adopts a redesigned stainless-look control panel, a new bar handle, and a Precision Knob intended to improve safety. Samsung will also unveil two new OTR microwave models, including an Air-Fry version and a DualVent model. The DualVent OTR features a revised hood structure with added front ventilation, designed to better capture smoke from front burners compared to previous designs.

Samsung says visitors to its CES 2026 booth will be able to see these appliances for the first time. As AI features continue to expand beyond smartphones and TVs, how quickly will Filipino households see similar smart kitchen technologies become part of everyday life?
