Sony Philippines marked Earth Hour with an eco-conscious night run called Eco Run, held on March 28, 2026 at Uptown Bonifacio. The event was organized in partnership with Uptown Run Club, bringing together participants for a community run focused on environmental awareness.

The initiative also served as a platform to introduce the LinkBuds Clip, Sony’s latest audio product, through its “Move with LinkBuds Clip” campaign. Attendees joined the neon-themed run while engaging in activities designed to combine fitness, music, and mindful living.
Why it Matters: Events like this highlight how brands are connecting product experiences with community activities. By combining fitness and environmental awareness, companies can engage users in real-world settings while promoting more active and mindful lifestyles.
Leading the event were Sony executives including Shuhei Sugihara and Kentaro Imamura, who introduced the brand’s purpose and showcased the LinkBuds Clip to participants.
The LinkBuds Clip is designed for active use, offering a secure fit and an open-style design that allows users to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music. This makes it suitable for outdoor runs and daily activities where situational awareness is important.
Participants were able to try the product at an on-site booth featuring interactive challenges and guided exercises. A curated playlist was also used during the run to enhance the experience.

Sony also held raffles during the event, giving attendees a chance to win LinkBuds Clip units. Additional perks were offered through its rewards program, encouraging engagement from the community.
The run was supported by coaches, including Tess Nocyao, a 2023 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, who led warm-up sessions and guided participants throughout the activity.
The LinkBuds Clip is now available for PHP 11,990 at Sony Centres and authorized dealers nationwide. Will more brands follow this approach of combining community events with product launches?
