soundcore has launched the Boom 3i, a new Bluetooth speaker built for outdoor use. The device is designed for pool parties, beach trips, and camping, offering durability and long battery life in a portable form.

The Boom 3i comes with IP68 water and dust resistance, a floating design, and up to 16 hours of playback. It is available in Jungle Green, Deep Ocean Blue, and Adventurer Black.
Why it Matters: Portable speakers are common, but not all are built for outdoor conditions. Features like water resistance, durability, and long battery life help users avoid damage and interruptions during trips, especially in summer settings where exposure to water and dust is expected.
The speaker is designed to float upright in water, allowing continuous playback even in pools or at the beach. It can survive submersion of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. soundcore also claims improved saltwater resistance, with testing of up to 2400 hours of salt spray. The build can handle drops of up to 1 meter onto concrete.
For audio, the Boom 3i uses a 40W woofer, a 10W tweeter, and dual bass radiators. It also supports BassUp 2.0, which increases bass output by 3dB. Users can pair two units through TrueWireless Stereo for left and right channel separation.
The speaker includes LED lighting on both sides, which can be customized through the soundcore app. The app also adds features such as EQ adjustments and several tools, including an emergency alarm that can reach 96 dB, a voice amplifier, and a cleaning mode that uses vibration to remove dust.
Alongside it, soundcore also introduced the Boom Go 3i. This is a smaller speaker with 15W output, up to 22 hours of battery life, and the same IP68 rating. It includes a strap system for attaching to bags, bikes, or other gear.
The Boom 3i and Boom Go 3i are now available in the Philippines for ₱2,995 and ₱5,995, respectively, through the brand’s official website and official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. Will this be your go-to speaker for summer trips?
