TCL has once again secured the number one spot in the global Panel TV Brand category, based on the latest Annual Cumulative Market Share Data from TRS Research. This is the second consecutive year the brand has led the segment, highlighting its continued growth in the global TV space.

Why it matters: TCL’s strong market showing reaffirms its presence as a major TV manufacturer globally, especially as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The brand’s dominance in both volume and value shares strengthens its momentum, particularly in the premium TV space.
According to the same research, TCL also took the top position in the QLED TV segment. Another market research firm, Omdia, backed these findings, listing TCL as the top global brand in three key areas: ultra-large TVs (85 inches and above), Mini LED TVs, and Google TVs.
In 2024, TCL recorded a 22.1% share in global shipments of 85-inch and larger TVs. For Mini LED TVs, TCL had a 28.8% market share. It has also maintained its lead in Google TV shipments worldwide from 2021 to 2024.
Locally, TCL Philippines continues to roll out innovations to bring smart, efficient technologies to more homes. The company says its focus remains on giving Filipino families access to functional and high-performing home entertainment products.
“TCL has become a trailblazer, driven by an unwavering commitment to innovation. We believe this relentless pursuit of progress is what continues to elevate TCL’s brand value. With this recognition, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped us achieve this milestone,” said Peter Chen, CEO of TCL Philippines.
In addition to its product milestones, TCL has also entered a global partnership with the International Olympic Committee. The collaboration will run through 2032, and will involve TCL delivering display and home appliance technologies to support the Olympic Village and Games operations.
The company said it plans to enhance the Olympic fan experience through its tech platforms and will also support the IOC’s Olympic AI Agenda. Part of the partnership includes the “Athletes Moments” initiative, which allows athletes to connect with family and friends moments after their competitions.
“Through this partnership, TCL’s innovations will inspire and deliver new experiences to audiences around the world. TCL is committed to its corporate social responsibilities and in helping shape a better, more connected future,” Chen added.
TCL is expected to roll out more ultra-large Mini LED TVs and continue its partnership with Google to push smarter and healthier lifestyles through Google TV. These efforts form part of TCL’s long-term strategy in home entertainment.
