Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Review: Fit in Style, Function in Focus

Xiaomi continues to refine its approach to budget wearables with the Smart Band 10. This latest iteration blends stylish design with performance and health tracking features aimed at young professionals and fashion-forward individuals alike. Here’s our full review.

Design and Construction

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 adds personality to a category that’s often dominated by minimalist looks. The device is available in two frame types, aluminum alloy and ceramic, and supports multiple strap options, from TPU and fluororubber to more stylish offerings like leather, braided, and even chain-style straps. Ours is in a midnight black colorway, featuring an aluminum alloy body and a fluororubber strap that’s easy to use.

The design is very reminiscent of previous Xiaomi band iterations, with the body component being removable and attachable to different form factors, including a clip and pendant, both of which are sold separately. The charging pin is still at the back, so are the sensors needed for health tracking, including heart rate.

Weighing just around 16g (metal frame) or 23g (ceramic frame) without the strap, and measuring under 11mm in thickness, the Smart Band 10 remains light and comfortable to wear throughout the day and night. Its design also includes moisture-resistant touch controls for more reliable swipes and taps during workouts.

Display

The centerpiece is its 1.72-inch AMOLED screen, the largest yet on a Xiaomi Smart Band. This panel has a resolution of 212×520 (326 PPI), a refresh rate of 60Hz, and peak brightness of 1500 nits. The result is a screen that looks sharp, vibrant, and easy to read even under bright sunlight.

Thanks to its symmetrical bezels and 73% screen-to-body ratio, the display feels expansive without being bulky. Scrolling through notifications, health data, or watch faces is smooth and responsive. Speaking of watch faces, there are over 200 options available, including some animated and interactive designs, five of which feature mini-games for casual fun.

Whether you want something bold, minimalist, or playful, the customization options ensure the display always feels personal.

Performance and Connectivity

Pairing the Smart Band 10 is simple via Bluetooth 5.4, with support for both Android (8.0 and up) and iOS (12.0 and up). The band works with the Mi Fitness app and offers deep integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem, particularly with devices running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.

Once connected, the Smart Band 10 provides a smooth experience when managing notifications, controlling music, setting alarms, or viewing calendar reminders. For users with compatible Android devices, the band supports customizable quick replies and even a silent mode toggle directly from the wrist.

One of the newer features is support for Xiaomi Smart Hub, which lets users control connected devices from the band, though this requires a Xiaomi smartphone or tablet.

Fitness tracking includes over 150 workout modes, 6 auto-detection modes, and advanced metrics such as VO₂ max, training load, and recovery time. Swimming support is also enhanced, with lap tracking accuracy rated at around 96%.

Sleep tracking now provides more in-depth insights with metrics such as sleep efficiency and sleep distribution. These insights are supported by Xiaomi’s partnerships with global health organizations, adding credibility to the data and guidance provided.

All-day heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, stress detection, and menstrual cycle predictions are also onboard, although they are not intended for medical purposes. New users should also note that some features (like heart rate broadcast or smart monitoring) require manual activation in the app.

The haptic feedback has also been improved thanks to an upgraded linear motor, offering more distinct vibrations for different alerts and actions.

Battery Life

Powering everything is a 233mAh battery. Xiaomi claims up to 21 days of usage under typical conditions and around 9 days if Always-On Display is enabled. In practice, actual battery life will depend on how often features like heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, and notifications are used. Our average is around 17 days with constant notifications from our device and the AOD turned off.

Charging is done through a dedicated magnetic charger and takes about an hour to reach full capacity. That quick top-up time, combined with long usage duration, makes it convenient for users who prefer not to charge their wearables daily.

The Rundown

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 refines what made its predecessors popular: solid health tracking, extensive customization, and long battery life, all while introducing more advanced and stylish features to keep up with changing user expectations.

For those who want more from a smart band than just tracking steps, the Smart Band 10 attempts to bridge fashion and function. Its flexibility as a wearable worn on the wrist, as a pendant, or clipped to shoes broadens its appeal across different lifestyle needs.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is now available for PHP 2,499. You can also get to join the Xiaomi Pop Run happening on August 30 when you purchase a unit.
