Top Features of the Huawei nova 7 SE 5G

More than just a gorgeous phone

Huawei‘s newest mid-range phone, the nova 7 SE 5G, brings in some great features for its PHP 19,990 price tag. We had the phone for more than a month now, and here’s what we think are its top features.

Stunning cameras

Huawei is known for producing great cameras for its phones, and the nova 7 SE continues the line of those devices that offer photography powerhouse features. Debuting with the device is their Dual Camera Mode where the user can capture scenes from both front and back cameras at the same time.

The rear camera setup ed by a 64-megapixel shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and two 2MP modules for depth and macro delivers great shots as we have affirmed in our review. Likewise, you can also capture videos up to 4K resolution, and the built-in gyro-EIS makes those clips less shaky than usual.

A Promising AppGallery, plus more

We’ve already mentioned some perks of Huawei’s very own AppGallery which continuously adds more apps as the weeks go by. A lot of local-made apps such as those from banking, mobile wallets, and communication have been seen already and many alternatives are readily available for your installation and use.

We always recommend to check reputable third-party app sites for those Apps that are not yet available on your phone, but Huawei actually made it easier for you. Petal Search debuts on devices with EMUI 10.1 such as this device, and it allows you to directly download apps not in the AppGallery with just a few taps. It’s pretty convenient, I’d say.

Long-lasting, yet fast-charging

Who wouldn’t want a phone that actually lasts? In our review, the Huawei nova 7 SE gave us almost a day’s worth of juice for moderate to heavy tasks with its 4000mAh battery capacity. We’re also surprised that it charges a lot faster given that it has a 40W phone charger — it only took 42 minutes from 0 to 100%!

Great performance

With a Kirin 820 chip onboard and coupled with 8GB of RAM, you can never go wrong with its performance. Playing intensive games like Mobile Legends for long periods of time is really great, while graphic intensive titles such as Asphalt 8 renders well with very little stutters. The phone scored over 354,000 in our AnTuTu benchmark test, and that alone can mean that this phone can do so much more.

5G connectivity

As of this writing, the Huawei Nova 7 Se is the most affordable 5G-ready smartphone you can purchase today. While the actual technology is not yet that widespread, telcos are doing their best to expedite the rollouts and cover more areas in the country.

Our Smart 5G speed test at the Araneta City in Quezon City gave us a whopping 540Mbps of download and 80Mbps upload. That’s enough to download a full-length movie in less than 10 minutes.

The Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G is now available online and in stores for PHP 19,990. You can read more of our review here.
