LG Electronics introduced LG Sound Suite, a modular home audio lineup designed to let users build flexible surround sound setups without complex wiring or fixed speaker placement. At the center of the system is the H7 soundbar, positioned as the first soundbar to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.

Why it Matters: As streaming platforms increasingly deliver movies, shows, and sports in spatial audio formats, consumers are looking for easier ways to achieve immersive sound at home without the traditional multi-speaker installation process.
LG Sound Suite is built around wireless pairing and modular expansion. Users can combine the H7 soundbar with optional components such as the M7 and M5 surround speakers and the W7 subwoofer, or operate some speakers independently depending on room size and layout. LG says the system can scale from small living room setups to full 13.1.7-channel home theater configurations. When the H7 acts as the main hub, FlexConnect works with compatible TVs through HDMI, while future LG premium TVs are expected to receive FlexConnect support through software updates.
Dolby Atmos FlexConnect focuses on simplifying immersive audio by automatically adjusting speaker output based on room layout and listening position rather than requiring strict placement rules. The goal is to deliver spatial sound even if speakers are placed on shelves, corners, or uneven distances from the viewer.
LG adds its own features on top of FlexConnect. Sound Follow uses ultra-wideband technology to adjust the audio sweet spot based on where the listener is seated. Room Calibration Pro analyzes room acoustics and applies AI-driven adjustments to balance frequencies and fill the space more evenly.
Powering the H7 soundbar is LG’s α11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same chipset used in its flagship OLED TVs. The processor enables AI Sound Pro+ up-mixing for stereo content and object separation that aims to make dialogue, music, and sound effects clearer. The system also adapts sound profiles depending on whether users are watching films, sports, or playing games.
LG also highlights the use of Peerless speaker units across the Sound Suite lineup, emphasizing acoustic consistency and build quality in each component. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for streaming and device integration.
With wireless modular speakers, AI-assisted calibration, and flexible Dolby Atmos support, LG is positioning Sound Suite as an alternative to traditional wired home theater packages for households seeking easier installation and adaptable room layouts.
