Huawei, in partnership with Vogue Philippines, launched the Huawei Pura 80 Series in the country through an event held at the BGC Arts Center in Taguig on August 7. The launch featured the Huawei XMAGE Photography Exhibition, which showcased photos taken with Huawei smartphones.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Huawei Pura 80 Pro are now available for pre-order in the Philippines, with prices starting at PHP 59,999. The Huawei Pura 80 will be released soon.

Actor Jericho Rosales, along with photographers Borgy Angeles and Gab Villareal, were among the guests. They shared their experiences with the Pura 80 Series, noting its ability to capture detailed photos in various lighting conditions. Vogue Philippines president Suki Salvador also spoke about the role of mobile photography in preserving moments.
The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra introduces the industry’s first Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera with a 3.7x mid-telephoto and 9.4x ultra-telephoto lens in one unit, supported by a large sensor for better light intake. It also features a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR Camera with real-time HDR technology for high dynamic range and balanced exposure.

The Huawei Pura 80 Pro includes an Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto Camera with a close focus distance of up to 5cm, allowing detailed macro shots. It also carries the same 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera for improved night photography.
Both models feature Huawei’s Forward Symbol design, 2nd Generation Kunlun Glass for improved durability, IP68 or higher water and dust resistance, the X-True Display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, EMUI 15 with AI tools, and a 5170mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.

The event also introduced the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025), a tablet with PC-like productivity features, a PaperMatte Display, and a 10,100mAh battery. It will be available in the Philippines soon.


The XMAGE Awards 2025 photography contest, which is open until September 15, was also promoted during the launch. Winners will be recognized in Paris this November.
The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is priced at PHP 89,999 in Prestige Gold and Golden Black, while the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is priced at PHP 59,999 in Glazed Red, Glazed Black, and Glazed White. Pre-order bundles include a Huawei Watch GT 5, Huawei FreeBuds 5, and Huawei Care+ services.
