HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.7 update, titled “As Tomorrow Became Yesterday,” will be released on November 5, 2025. The update will serve as the climactic conclusion to the Amphoreous saga, introducing new story content, the arrival of a new playable character, and new game modes.
Why it Matters: This update closes one of the game’s longest-running story arcs while expanding its roster and gameplay systems. It also continues to strengthen Honkai: Star Rail’s position as one of the most successful cross-platform RPGs globally, with over 150 million downloads to date.

Throughout the Amphoreous saga, the Astral Express crew inherited the Titan Coreflames and joined forces with the Chrysos Heirs to face Irontomb, described as their greatest enemy yet. The story’s final battlefield takes players to the “Ruins of Time,” a desolate area filled with ancient seals and remnants of Phainon’s past efforts to contain Irontomb’s power.
Version 3.7 also introduces Cyrene, a new 5-star Ice-type character on the Path of Remembrance. Known for her long-standing presence in the Amphoreous storyline, Cyrene finally becomes playable in this update. Her abilities focus on increasing her allies’ damage output and triggering additional True Damage through her skill. Once her “Recollection” gauge is fully stacked, Cyrene can unleash her Ultimate, permanently activating her Zone and summoning a memosprite version of herself. This memosprite can either boost teammates or deal damage to enemies, with additional effects for Chrysos Heir characters.
A new permanent gameplay mode called “Currency Wars” will also debut in Version 3.7. This mode allows Trailblazers to form teams of up to ten characters divided into on-field and off-field sections. Teams can gain “Bond” bonuses when characters of the same type or faction fight together, enhancing cooperative combat effects. The mode will initially include 61 characters, all available for free trial. Like the existing “Divergent Universe” feature, “Currency Wars” will offer recurring rewards and new challenges in future updates.
Version 3.7 will also feature limited-time events and cosmetic content. The “Snack Dash” event introduces a lighthearted racing competition inspired by Madam Ruan Mei’s creations. Players can also unlock new customization items through the new “Trailblaze Fashion” system, including the limited “Deliverer’s Wreath” headwear as a free reward after completing the version’s main story missions.
Additional media releases accompanying the update include a new animated short titled “Hello, World” and a new track called “Ripples of Past Reverie,” both reflecting on the seven-version-long Amphoreous saga and its conclusion.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently available on PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store. Since launch, the game has received multiple awards, including Apple’s iPhone Game of the Year and Google Play’s Best Game in 2023, along with the Golden Joystick Awards’ Still Playing Award (Mobile) and the PlayStation Partner Awards Partner Award in 2024.
