HONOR X9d 5G sees strong pre-orders in the Philippines

HONOR Philippines says the HONOR X9d 5G is getting strong demand during its pre-order period, making it one of the most successful launches in the X9 series so far. The company claims it has reached a new high in nationwide pre-orders, even before the phone officially goes on sale.

In a statement, HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng said the company was unsure at first if the HONOR X9d 5G could match the success of previous X9 models. He added that the strong response surprised them, including one buyer who reportedly pre-ordered 50 units in one transaction.

Why It Matters: The X9 series has been one of HONOR’s key mid-range phone lines in the Philippines. Strong early demand for the HONOR X9d 5G shows that the brand continues to have traction in this segment, especially as competition in the PHP 15,000 to PHP 20,000 range remains tight.

The HONOR X9d 5G is currently available for pre-order at an introductory price of PHP 17,999 until January 23. Customers who pre-order are included in a raffle with a chance to win a Tesla Cybertruck, which HONOR says is worth PHP 17 million.

HONOR is also offering installment options through Home Credit. Under this promo, buyers can get the phone for as low as PHP 24 per day, with an additional PHP 1,000 discount, payable for up to 18 months. The installment promo runs until February 15, 2026.

One of the main highlights of the HONOR X9d 5G is its large 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery. According to HONOR, this is designed to last up to three days on a single charge under mixed use. The company claims the phone can reach up to 52.5 hours of music streaming, 23.8 hours of online video playback, 16.8 hours of gaming, and 12.3 hours of video calls on one full charge.

HONOR also says the battery is designed to work in extreme temperatures, from -30°C to 55°C, and is built to keep its performance for up to six years using its battery management system. The phone supports 66W wired charging and has an ultra power saving mode that can still provide up to 60 minutes of calls when the battery drops to 2 percent.

With the HONOR X9d 5G already getting strong pre-orders before its full release, will it be able to match or beat the long-term success of the previous X9 models in the Philippines?
