MediaTek has unveiled the Genio 720 and Genio 520, two new edge-AI IoT platforms designed for smart home, retail, industrial, and commercial applications. These additions to the Genio series support advanced generative AI models, human-machine interface capabilities, and enhanced multimedia and connectivity features.

- Octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A78 and six Cortex-A55 cores for performance and power efficiency
- Up to 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 memory for data-intensive applications
- Advanced multimedia support, including 4K and 5K ultrawide displays and dual 2.5K display compatibility
- Dual image signal processor with up to 32-megapixel support
- Pre-integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E solutions, with support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Redcap via external modules
- Compatibility with Android, Yocto Linux, and Ubuntu operating systems
- Open Standard Module support for faster development and time-to-market
