There are now three different players in the telco postpaid space – Globe, Smart, and DITO – with each of them offering a different set of perks at different price points. We take a look at their SIM-Only postpaid plans and find out which telco has the better offer as of this posting. Which took the cake home? Here’s a quick look.
With DITO entering the postpaid game just a few days ago, one can wonder how it fares to the now-existing plans offered by two longtime telco companies Globe and Smart. Here’s a chart to check how they all fare against each other:

The perks of having a SIM-only plan are that you are not locked into the telco, or you’ll have less lock-in period, usually at 6 months. The inclusions are also greater than postpaid plans with bundled handsets, so you’ll get more out of your money if you don’t need a new phone. The requirements are also a lot simpler and take a lot faster to be approved.
DITO takes the cake for having a competitive advantage over Globe and Smart in terms of SIM-only data inclusions with a lot more mobile data (16GB), plus unlimited calls and texts to all networks and a 12-month Prime Video subscription for PHP 588 a month. You’ll also get more for 5G data connectivity starting at Plan 888 (an additional 20GB of 5G data on top of 40GB of regular data, making it a 60GB total monthly).
Smart has a Netflix mobile-only subscription starting at Plan 599 but you’ll get less data at 5GB, or ditch the Netflix and get twice the data (10GB). It’s also the best network offer at Plan 2,499 for unlimited 4G/5G connection along with unlimited all-net calls and texts, and even landline calls.
Globe offers a lot of additional perks on top of its unlimited all-net call, text, and landline plans with unlimited access to one app of your choice, and subscriptions to Disney+ Mobile and Prime Video. Too bad that their unli 5G service is only offered for free for the first six months.
