realme is gearing up to launch its newest series of smartphones later this month, but we already got a glimpse of what could be offered when you pre-order in town. The realme 8 and 8 Pro are launching in the country next week!
These two devices sport identical looks with different rear finishes and hardware configurations. They both sport super AMOLED displays with Always On Display mode, 128GB of internal storage with expansion via microSD card, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The 8 is powered by a MediaTek G95, a 5000mAh battery capacity, and a 30-watt Dart Charge technology.

The realme 8 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a Snapdragon chip, a significantly less battery capacity, and a 50-watt SuperDart charging tech. The 8 Pro is also realme’s first device to sport a Samsung 108-megapixel sensor at the back along with three other camera modules.

I stumbled upon the pre-order mechanics when I was going home from work. This one’s specifically displayed at a mobile store in Farmers Plaza, Cubao, Quezon City. The pre-order period for the realme 8 series is from May 12 to 21, 2021, and will come with a free realme Buds Air Pro worth PHP 4,990 for those ordering online. realme will start selling these phones on May 22, in which you can get a celebrity poster if you purchase any of these phones until May 29 and a PHP 1,000 discount when you purchase through their official ECommerce stores. No price has been mentioned as of this writing, so stay tuned for its official launch on realme’s online channels (Facebook, YouTube) on May 11, 6 PM.
