We found out the exact pricing and release date of Samsung’s most affordable smartphone this year so far, the Galaxy A01, in the Philippines.
The newest budget phone from the brand features dual rear cameras — one with 13MP at f/2.2 aperture, while the other is a depth lens at 2-megapixels. A 5MP selfie camera completes the package. There’s also a 5.7-inch notched display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chip onboard.

The Samsung Galaxy A01 will retail in stores for Php5,490, as we found out in our conversations with several Samsung salespeople in Mandaluyong City. They also say that stocks will arrive by the end of the month, leading to a February 29 release date in the Philippines. Samsung PH has put up the page earlier this month, indicating that blue and black are the only colors arriving locally.
