GMA Network has officially launched its own version of a Digital TV Receiver, touting more features and a more affordable price tag in tow.
The network’s version of the Digital TV receiver aptly called an Affordabox, features not only receives channels but has more features to love. There’s a built-in multimedia player, and a digital recorder to record your favorite shows.
It also features an embedded Nationwide Emergency Warning Broadcast System (EWBS), which is a standard for ISDB-T channels and which the government plans on using in the future. The Affordabox also turns on automatically, as a measure, to broadcast emergency warnings as needed.
