The details: The HONOR Magic V6 features a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch foldable inner display, both using LTPO 2.0 technology with refresh rates of up to 120Hz.
The foldable is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
For photography, the Magic V6 has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 64MP periscope telephoto camera. It also has 20MP cameras on both the outer and inner displays.
One of its biggest upgrades is its battery. The Magic V6 packs a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, supported by 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.
The device measures 8.75mm thick when folded and 4.0mm when unfolded, while weighing 219 grams. HONOR also gives it IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water.
The Magic V6 runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and includes HONOR’s latest AI-powered features and multitasking tools designed around the foldable form factor. HONOR also highlights Fast Flex, which uses the folding mechanism to activate functions such as split-screen multitasking.
The bigger picture: Foldables have continued to move beyond their early focus on simply offering a larger display. With the Magic V6, HONOR is putting more emphasis on making the foldable practical as an everyday flagship through its battery capacity, thin body, durability, and flagship hardware.
The 6,660mAh battery is particularly notable for a foldable of this size. HONOR says its silicon-carbon battery uses a higher silicon content to increase energy density while keeping the device thin and light. The Magic V6’s hinge has also been tested for up to 500,000 folding cycles.
For Filipinos: The HONOR Magic V6 is priced at PHP 119,999 in the Philippines. Customers who preorder the device until September 4 will receive a free HONOR Pad X9b with keyboard case as part of the launch offer. The Magic V6 is available in Red, Gold, White, and Black.
What’s next: The Magic V6 will compete in the local premium foldable segment against Samsung, OPPO, vivo, and other brands offering book-style foldable smartphones in the Philippines.
With its PHP 119,999 price tag, HONOR is positioning the Magic V6 as a full flagship package rather than simply a foldable alternative.
The Bottom Line: The HONOR Magic V6 brings a 6,660mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 120Hz LTPO displays, a triple-camera setup, and IP68/IP69 protection to the Philippine foldable market at PHP 119,999. Preordering until September 4 also comes with a free HONOR Pad X9b with keyboard case.
