Why it Matters: The GT series has been Infinix’s attempt to target mobile gamers at a lower price segment. With the GT 50 Pro, the company appears to push further into the mid-range gaming space by adding features such as shoulder triggers, higher refresh rate display, and a larger battery, which are often seen in more expensive gaming phones.

Early information points to upgrades in display, battery, and gaming controls, suggesting a step up from previous GT models. Leaks suggest that the Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate, based on a report from Gizmochina. The same report also mentions a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and storage options reaching 512GB.

For cameras, the device is expected to include a 50MP main sensor, according to Gadgets 360. Front camera details remain limited, though some listings point to a 13MP sensor.

Battery capacity is reported to range between 6,150mAh and 6,500mAh, depending on the source, with support for 45W wired charging and possible 30W wireless charging, also cited by Gadgets 360.

In terms of design, the GT 50 Pro is expected to retain a gaming-inspired look, with LED lighting elements and a more aggressive styling. A separate Gizmochina report suggests the device may include shoulder triggers for gaming, along with an upgraded cooling system.

While these details provide an early look at the device, Infinix has yet to confirm the full specifications, pricing, and availability in markets like the Philippines.

More details, including official pricing and availability, are expected to be announced during the April launch. Will the Infinix GT 50 Pro offer enough upgrades to compete in the growing mid-range gaming segment?
