LG’s female-empowering campaign wins big at PH Anvil Awards

Just in time for women's month

LG Philippines wins the coveted Silver Anvil at the 55th Anvil Awards’ Gabi ng Parangal held at the Manila Hotel Fiesta Pavilion on February 28.

The winning campaign was in the category “Public Relations Tools” under the sub-category: Exhibits and Special events. This specific campaign, “Laundry Love”, aims to encourage men to do their fair share of housework through the innovative technologies designed into LG Home Appliances; specifically, LG’s line of powerful, feature-packed washing machines.

Since last year, LG toured the country and shared the importance of harmony in marriage through household chores with the help of motoring personality James Deakin, actor/model Eric ‘Eruption’ Tai, and PBA’s ‘Ironman’ LA Tenorio. They all demonstrated how they can help their family in washing their clothes with LG’s line of washers — from Smart Inverter Front-load ones to the durable fully-auto top load variants, and even the most affordable twin tubs.

LG managing director Inkwon Heo shared his insights on making household chores simple, easy, and fun for the family. “At LG, we believe in using technology to simplify life and to save time. Our washing machines are top-of-the-line products that are designed to make doing the laundry less complicated and more energy efficient. It is with our hope that the men of the household will see doing the family laundry less as a chore, but more as a way of showing support for their loved ones,” he said.

Widely considered as the “Oscars” of public relations, the ANVIL is the symbol of Excellence in Public Relations. It is awarded to outstanding public relations programs, tools and, now, practitioners after careful screening by select PR professionals and judging by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.
