Design: Bezel-less beauty

This monitor is quite a fragile baby to move around due to its structure and unorthodox design. At the front, we have the 23.8-inch screen at the front which is quite a treat to use since it’s almost bezel-less, save for the bottom part.

The thick bottom bezel houses the icons for the bottoms underneath, as well as an LED button to identify power. Aside from the power button, four other buttons perform tasks related to adjusting volume and other settings pertaining to monitor viewing. Two small loudspeaker grilles are at the bottom of the monitor for audio, and a cable organizer is clipped at the frame for organizing cables from the back.

The VESA mount is surprisingly located near the bottom part, and beside it are four ports — a 3.5mm audio jack, a VGA port, an HDMI port, and a proprietary power port. Despite the rectangular shape, the port seems to be accepting the power adapter even when reversed, which makes it easier to install.

The monitor only swivels upwards and its height cannot be adjusted, which can be a bummer for those who want to lower the gap between the monitor and the base, especially in areas with short height clearances. The monitor is easy to transport anywhere in our home but is quite a fragile baby to hold since it’s nearly bezel-less.

Display and Performance: Yes to Multimedia and Office

Lenovo offers a 23.8-inch IPS display with this monitor, and the choice is just sufficient for one that’s being offered as a home office monitor. The Full HD resolution offers just decent sharpness and is still great to see even when working on documents.

Viewing angles are great, colors are vivid, and contrast is good. The refresh rate is also noticeably smoother than our other standard monitors at home due to its 75Hz refresh rate. Viewing multimedia content is not an issue here as we’ve played lots of videos from different sites, to the same smooth results.

Gaming, on the other hand, is something to be wary of when using this screen. There were instances where we saw a long motion blur trail during fast-moving instances, which could mean a slower response time.

The TUV Rheinland-certified eye comfort mode, on the other hand, is a good feature to use especially when your monitor is the only source of light at night. It’s warm enough to keep the eyes protected while keeping you awake, as too much warmness on the display leads to some feeling a lot sleepier than usual.
