realme P4 Lite Review: Longer Lasting

The realme P4 Lite feels like the kind of smartphone that wasn’t supposed to exist, not because it’s revolutionary, but because somebody looked at a budget phone checklist and decided to keep adding things. A 7,000mAh battery? Sure. A 120Hz display? Why not. A large cooling system for gaming? Throw that in too.

The result is a smartphone that starts at PHP 7,499 yet somehow manages to avoid feeling stripped down. While it won’t be mistaken for a flagship anytime soon, the P4 Lite does raise an interesting question: how much phone do you really need in 2026? Here’s our full review.

realme P4 Lite: Design and Construction

The realme P4 Lite follows a clean and minimalist design language. The Titan Grey variant looks understated and professional, while Pulse Purple gives the phone a younger and more playful appearance.

There’s a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom for wired audio enthusiasts, a fingerprint scanner in the power and lock button, and a dedicated microSD card slot to store your files and media.

What stands out most is how realme managed to fit a 7,000mAh battery inside an 8.38mm chassis weighing 208g. The phone feels substantial but not excessively heavy considering the battery capacity. I’m able to use the phone for longer periods of time without feeling tired of holding it, even with one hand.

The flat frame design makes the device comfortable to hold during extended gaming sessions or long periods of scrolling. The camera island is simple and doesn’t protrude excessively, helping the phone sit relatively flat on a table.

Durability is another area where the P4 Lite performs surprisingly well for its price range. It carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and features military-grade shock resistance certification. This gives users extra peace of mind for daily use, especially those who frequently travel or work outdoors.

realme P4 Lite Display and Audio

The realme P4 Lite features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is not particularly impressive on paper, especially when compared to Full HD alternatives. Text and images are not as sharp as what you’ll find on higher-end devices.

However, the 120Hz refresh rate makes a noticeable difference. Scrolling through social media, navigating menus, and switching between apps feel smoother than many competing phones in the same price bracket.

Brightness reaches up to 900 nits under High Brightness Mode, making outdoor visibility reasonably good during daytime use.

The display also supports DC dimming, helping reduce eye strain during extended viewing sessions.

Audio performance is basic but practical. The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack remains a welcome feature for users who still prefer wired earphones or gaming headsets.

realme P4 Lite: Camera

The camera setup is clearly not the focus of the realme P4 Lite. It comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera paired with a flicker sensor and a 5MP front-facing camera. Under ideal lighting conditions, photos are acceptable for social media uploads, messaging, and everyday documentation.

Color reproduction is decent, and the camera app includes several software features that help improve versatility. Users can access Street Mode, Pro Mode, Dual-View Video, Panorama, Timelapse, and Text Scanner.

The AI toolkit adds useful editing options such as AI Eraser, AI Clear Face, and Smart Image Matting. These tools help compensate for the limitations of the hardware by making post-processing easier.

Low-light performance remains a challenge, and image detail quickly falls behind more capable camera-focused smartphones.

For casual users who primarily photograph documents, food, family moments, and social media content, the camera system remains serviceable.

realme P4 Lite: Performance (Software, Hardware, and Connectivity)

The realme P4 Lite is powered by the UNISOC T7250, an entry-level processor paired with 4GB of RAM and Dynamic RAM Expansion. While the chipset won’t compete with higher-end devices, it delivers a surprisingly capable experience for everyday tasks.

Social media browsing, messaging, video streaming, and general multitasking run smoothly thanks to the combination of realme UI 7.0 and the phone’s 120Hz refresh rate. Apps launch quickly enough, and navigation feels responsive for a device in this price category.

Gaming performance is better than expected, especially when viewed through the lens of its sub-PHP 9,000 price tag. PUBG Mobile can reach HD graphics settings and runs consistently without major frame drops or stability issues. The experience remains enjoyable for casual and competitive players alike.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang performs best at Medium graphics settings, where gameplay remains responsive and stable. During testing, controls felt accurate, team fights remained smooth, and there were no noticeable stutters or lag spikes even during extended sessions.

Delta Force is also playable at Medium graphics settings. While this is a more demanding title, the P4 Lite maintains a respectable level of performance that allows users to enjoy matches without significant compromises.

Helping sustain performance is the 10,000mm² graphite cooling system. During gaming sessions in an indoor environment using only a fan and no air conditioning, temperatures never exceeded 41°C. The phone becomes warm under load but never uncomfortable to hold, and thermal throttling was minimal.

Connectivity is another strong point. The HyperSignal Antenna System helps maintain a reliable connection in weaker signal environments, which is particularly useful for online gaming and video streaming.

Combined with Game Space, Ultra Boost, network optimization, and other gaming-focused software tools, the P4 Lite feels more gaming-capable than its entry-level positioning initially suggests.

realme P4 Lite: Battery and Charging

The biggest reason to consider the realme P4 Lite is its battery life. Equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery, this phone is designed for users who spend long hours away from a power outlet. Whether you’re scrolling through social media, streaming videos, navigating with maps, or playing games, battery anxiety becomes far less of a concern.

In our PCMark Work 3.0 Battery Test, the realme P4 Lite achieved an impressive 22 hours and 41 minutes. That’s one of the strongest results we’ve seen in the sub-PHP 9,000 segment and easily translates into more than a full day of real-world usage. Moderate users can even stretch usage into a second day before reaching for a charger.

Gaming also benefits from the large battery capacity. Extended sessions of Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, and Delta Force barely make a dent compared to most smartphones in this price range. This makes the device particularly appealing for students, commuters, and users who spend a significant portion of their day on their phones.

Charging is where the compromises become more noticeable. The phone supports 15W charging, which feels conservative by today’s standards. During our testing, charging from 17% to 100% took approximately 2 hours and 49 minutes.

While that isn’t particularly fast, the massive battery capacity helps offset the inconvenience. In practice, you’ll likely spend less time charging overall simply because you won’t need to charge the phone as frequently.

The inclusion of 6W reverse charging is a useful bonus, allowing the P4 Lite to function as an emergency power bank for accessories and other devices.

The Rundown

The realme P4 Lite is not the most powerful smartphone in its category, nor does it offer the best camera system. What it does offer is something many users will appreciate more: reliability.

Its 7,000mAh battery virtually eliminates battery anxiety, the 120Hz display keeps daily interactions smooth, and its gaming performance is good enough for popular titles like Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, and Delta Force. Add in respectable thermals, practical software features, and long software support, and you get a device that consistently performs above expectations.

At PHP 7,499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and PHP 8,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model, the realme P4 Lite presents a compelling value proposition. There are phones with sharper displays, better cameras, or faster processors, but few combine battery endurance, gaming capability, and everyday usability this effectively at this price point. I highly recommend this to first-time phone users who just want a smartphone for calls and texts, or to TNVS, Food delivery, or last mile courier drivers that rely on their phones for everyday work.

If your priority is getting the longest possible battery life without sacrificing a smooth user experience, the realme P4 Lite is one of the strongest options currently available below PHP 9,000.

The realme P4 Lite is now official in the Philippines and is priced at PHP 7,499 (64GB, TikTok Shop Exclusive) and PHP 8,999 (128GB, Buy at Shopee). Get the realme P4 Lite for as low as PHP 4,900 until June 10 with its exclusive online launch offers.
