TCL Philippines has officially launched the TCL C7L, its latest television powered by the company’s next-generation SQD Mini LED platform, as the brand expands its entertainment lineup beyond traditional home viewing.

The launch took place at Nokal in Makati Central Square and was designed as an interactive entertainment event rather than a conventional product presentation. Dubbed “The Mastermind of Experiences,” the event brought together media guests, influencers, and content creators for a night of games, challenges, music, and hands-on demonstrations of TCL’s latest products.

Why it Matters: TCL is positioning the C7L as part of a wider entertainment ecosystem that covers home viewing, gaming, and audio. Alongside the new TV, the company also showcased the upcoming TCL G64 and G54 gaming monitors, as well as the TP300K and TP200K party speakers.

The details: The TCL C7L takes center stage in the company’s latest television lineup, with its SQD Mini LED platform designed to deliver a more immersive viewing experience.

Rather than limiting the launch to a product demonstration, TCL built the event around interactive activities that allowed guests to explore the company’s latest technologies. The venue featured separate experience zones for the C7L TV, gaming monitors, and party speakers.

At the TCL C7L TV Zone, guests were able to get a closer look at the TV and the role of SQD Mini LED technology in enhancing home viewing. TCL used the area to demonstrate how its latest display technology is intended to push home entertainment further.

Brand Manager Joseph Cernitchez said the company wanted guests to experience the C7L through gaming and entertainment rather than simply focus on its specifications.

“We designed the C7L Game Night to showcase how TCL continues to be the mastermind of entertainment experiences,” Cernitchez said. “Beyond the technology and specifications, we wanted our guests to experience the C7L through gaming, entertainment, and meaningful moments.”

The bigger picture: TCL also used the event to highlight its expansion into gaming displays and audio products.

The Gaming Monitor Zone featured the TCL G54, equipped with the company’s Precise Dimming Series, a 144Hz native refresh rate, and up to 450 nits of peak brightness.

The TCL TP200K offers up to 220W of maximum audio power, five Dynamic Light Show presets, and up to 12 hours of playtime. The larger TP300K increases maximum audio power to 340W, adds eight Dynamic Light Show presets, and provides up to 18 hours of playtime.

The speakers are positioned as products designed to bring TCL’s entertainment experience beyond the TV screen and into social gatherings and celebrations.

Between the lines: The launch event was built around TCL’s “Mastermind” theme, with guests taking part in a trivia competition that tested their knowledge and quick thinking.

Seven teams made up of media guests and key opinion leaders competed in The Mastermind Game, an interactive trivia challenge covering TCL technology, pop culture, current events, and trending topics.

The main competition was supported by several quick-fire mini-games. These included screen-based game identification, music challenges, and trending TikTok dance routines. TCL prizes were also given to participants throughout the competition.

The format allowed TCL to connect its products with different types of entertainment, from watching content and playing games to listening to music and socializing.

For Filipinos: TCL’s latest lineup gives consumers more options within the brand’s expanding entertainment ecosystem. The C7L focuses on home viewing, while the G64 and G54 target gamers and users looking for displays that can also handle entertainment and productivity.

The TP200K and TP300K, meanwhile, target users who want more powerful audio for parties and other gatherings.

The launch also reflects how TVs are increasingly being positioned as part of a broader entertainment setup rather than as standalone displays. TCL is bringing its television, gaming monitor, and audio products together under the same entertainment-focused lineup.

Deputy Marketing Director Shae Yu Xiaoling said the company is expanding how people connect with their content and experiences.

“From screen to sound, TCL is expanding how people connect with their favorite content and experiences,” Xiaoling said.

She added that the company wants its products to fit different ways of watching, playing, and celebrating, pointing to the C7L, G64, G54, TP300K, and TP200K as examples of its broader lineup.

What’s next: TCL is continuing to expand its local lineup with products covering televisions, gaming monitors, and audio.

The C7L leads the latest push with its SQD Mini LED technology, while the G64 and G54 bring TCL’s display technology into the gaming monitor segment. The TP200K and TP300K extend the lineup into high-power party audio.

The company is promoting these products as part of a wider entertainment ecosystem designed around different types of use, from immersive home viewing and gaming to music and celebrations.

The Bottom Line: TCL’s C7L launch in Makati was more than a television unveiling. The company used its “Mastermind of Experiences” event to introduce the C7L alongside its upcoming gaming monitors and party speakers, highlighting a broader push into entertainment across screens and sound.

With the C7L, G64, G54, TP200K, and TP300K, TCL is building a lineup that covers home viewing, gaming, productivity, and social entertainment while giving guests a hands-on look at how its latest products fit together.
