Grab Philippines is expanding the ways users can earn and redeem GrabCoins across everyday rides, food and grocery deliveries, and cashless payments.

Users can earn GrabCoins through eligible GrabCar bookings, GrabFood and GrabMart orders, GrabPay transactions, and selected activities in the Grab app. These GrabCoins can then be redeemed for vouchers or discounts on eligible rides, deliveries, grocery purchases, and in-store payments.
Why it Matters: The expanded GrabCoins program gives users more ways to earn rewards from their regular Grab transactions and use those rewards across different services within the app.
The details: All Grab users can earn GrabCoins by completing eligible transactions and participating in selected in-app activities. These include making an Advanced Booking or Group Ride, hosting a GrabFood group order, ordering during special periods, and shopping from participating grocery and pharmacy categories on GrabMart.
GrabUnlimited members can earn additional GrabCoins from eligible cashless Grab transactions. They receive 6 GrabCoins for every PHP 100 spent using GrabPay and 3 GrabCoins for every PHP 100 spent through other eligible cashless payment methods.

The bigger picture: GrabCoins can now be used across Grab’s everyday services, including GrabCar, GrabFood, and GrabMart. Users can redeem their rewards for vouchers through the GrabCoins catalogue or apply them directly to eligible transactions using the GrabCoins toggle.
Users can also use GrabCoins for in-store QR Ph purchases when paying through GrabPay. GrabCoins remain valid for six months from the date they are earned.
Between the lines: Grab is also introducing Double Coins Days, a monthly promotion available to all users from the 23rd to the 25th of each month. During this period, users can earn 2x GrabCoins on selected transactions, with participating offers available through the GrabCoins homepage.
The recurring promotion gives users a specific period each month to look for participating transactions that offer increased GrabCoins.
For Filipinos: The expanded rewards system can benefit users who regularly use multiple Grab services. A user can earn GrabCoins from rides, food orders, grocery purchases, and eligible cashless payments, then use those rewards on other eligible transactions.

Grab also allows users to check their GrabCoins balance and browse available rewards through the Grab app. Users can use their GrabCoins when paying through GrabPay QR.
What’s next: GrabCoins will continue to be available across eligible transactions and activities within Grab’s mobility, delivery, grocery, and digital payment services.
Grab operates across deliveries, mobility, and digital financial services in more than 700 cities across eight Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines. Its services include food and grocery orders, package deliveries, rides, online payments, lending, and insurance.
The Bottom Line: Grab Philippines is expanding GrabCoins beyond individual services by giving users more ways to earn and redeem rewards across rides, deliveries, groceries, and payments. The addition of Double Coins Days from the 23rd to the 25th of every month also gives users a recurring opportunity to earn 2x GrabCoins on selected transactions.
