RSG PH wins the MPL Philippines Season 9

Defeating the Smart Omega with a score of 4-1

RSG PH wins in a best-of-seven (BO7) series defeating the Smart Omega with a score of 4-1 at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 9 held at the SMX Convention Center last May 1, 2022.

On the same night, RSG PH’s Exp-laner Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo was declared the Grand Final MVP after showcasing outstanding performance in the playoffs. On the other hand, Dylan “Light” Catipon was the Regular Season MVP.

In June, both RSG PH and Smart Omega will be the Philippines’ representatives at the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The team will vie for the title and take home a combined prize pool of USD 300,000.

Singapore-based RSG PH had only competed for two seasons in the MPL-PH and is the first foreign-owned team to win an MPL Philippines title. It operates across Southeast Asia and has established itself by creating various professional esports teams in leading game titles including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). The team is set to provide gaming and esports content through marketing collaborations, game promotions, and brand collaborations with different game titles and publishers.

In the Philippines, RSG PH’s exclusive professional esports athletes and talents include Elyson “Ghost Wrecker” Caranza, Clarence Angelo “Onepipti” Santos, Leon “Nix” Gutierrez, and streamer Louis Dior “Boss Lucio” Teves.

“With RSG PH winning the national title this year, we are excited to welcome more esports athletes and talents, grow our team further, and collaborate with brands and sponsors,” says Matt Jaron, RSG PH Country Manager.
