Acer Day is an annual event that reflects Acer’s commitment to connecting with its customers and showcasing the latest in its product lineup. This year’s theme, “AI’m Limitless,” encourages individuals to push beyond their limits and explore new possibilities through Acer’s diverse range of PCs and lifestyle products.
Acer Day 2024 Concert at MOA Arena
On August 4, the Mall of Asia Arena hosted the Acer Day 2024 concert, drawing an audience of over 20,000 people, both on-site and via a Facebook livestream. The concert featured performances by Acer ambassadors SB19, Sandara Park, and G22, along with other notable artists including Cup of Joe, TJ Monterde, Ebe Dancel, and Rico Blanco. The event was hosted by Luis Manzano.
Sue Ong Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines, remarked, “Acer Day helps connect us with our customers through music and various activities, allowing them to experience products that provide tools to explore limitless possibilities and bring their ideas to life.”
Performances and Highlights
The concert opened with a set by pop/alternative band Cup of Joe, who performed their songs “Wag na Lang,” “Tingin,” and “Estranghero.” Following them, singer-songwriter TJ Monterde entertained the audience with “Mahika,” “Tulad Mo,” and “Palagi.”
Ebe Dancel, a respected figure in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), performed his well-known hits “Hari ng Sablay,” “Makita Kang Muli,” “Wag Kang Umiyak,” and “Bawat Daan.” Dancel shared a personal moment, recalling Acer’s support during the pandemic, when he was invited to perform for Acer’s executives and employees in a small, intimate venue.
The energy remained high as Rico Blanco, another prominent OPM artist, performed “Antukin,” “Umaaraw Umuulan,” “Your Universe,” “Kisapmata,” and “You’ll be Safe Here.”
International star Sandara Park and the P-pop group G22 delivered a memorable performance of “In or Out.” Sandara, who gained popularity as part of the group 2NE1, also performed “Dara Dara,” “I Don’t Care,” and “I’m the Best+Can’t Nobody.”
G22, known as the “Female Alphas of P-pop,” performed their tracks “Boomerang,” “Bang,” “One Sided Love,” and “Loka.”
SB19, recognized as the “Kings of P-pop,” captivated the audience with their songs “Gento,” “Hanggang sa Huli,” and “Crimzone.” They also performed an unreleased track titled “Kalakal” with rapper Gloc 9. The concert concluded with a joint performance by SB19 and G22 of “Limitless,” the theme song for Acer Day 2024, composed by SB19 leader Pablo.
The Acer Day 2024 concert and associated activities highlighted Acer’s AI-powered products, which aim to enhance user experiences and create new opportunities. Princess Laosantos, Senior Marketing Manager of Acer Philippines, stated, “The concert and all the Acer Day activities showcase Acer’s AI-powered range of products, which will not only elevate user experiences but also open limitless opportunities.”
