OPPO’s newest Reno phones are coming to the Philippines, and here’s a quick look at the new OPPO Reno12 5G.
OPPO Philippines gave us a quick glimpse with a preview in June, along with a unit sent to us a few weeks back. Unboxing the device we have the usual stuff – the Reno 12, a really cool clear TPU case with ribbed back, the charging brick, a USB-C data and charging cable, a SIM tray ejector tool, and some documents.
Our Astro Silver unit is a testament to modern design. The back shimmers with a subtle holographic effect that dances in the light with every movement. Let’s take a look around – the sides have a chromatic finish which reflect light. At the right are the volume keys and the power/lock button.

An IR blaster and another active mic is at the top. it’s also worth noting that they pierced another set of holes here for the other loudspeaker.
At the front is the gorgeous dual curved AMOLED display, with a punch hole at the top-middle part for the selfie camera.
The back has the triple rear camera protruding at the back, with the protruding area having braided-like edges that make it separated from the flowy back panel. The three camera modules each have their chrome embellishments, too, which also protrude from the camera area.
