The Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry is a significant contributor to the Philippine economy, employing over one million Filipinos and aiming to increase this to 2.5 million by 2028. To sustain this growth and ensure the industry remains competitive globally, upskilling and reskilling the workforce is essential.
As the IT-BPM sector continues to establish itself as a global leader, with the Philippines ranking as the second-leading outsourcing hub, talent development remains a critical focus. The IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) is committed to making the Philippines a top destination for digitally enabled and customer-centric services, fostering inclusive economic growth across the nation.
Despite its successes, the IT-BPM industry faces challenges such as talent acquisition, upskilling, increasing competition, and evolving client expectations. Addressing these issues through targeted upskilling programs from various industry partners, including internal human resources training and external providers, is paramount.
In support of the IT-BPM sector, Globe Business is launching a free training voucher program aimed at enhancing the skills of its customers’ workforce. This initiative will subsidize training expenses based on customers’ product subscriptions, providing vital opportunities to develop a future-ready talent pool. This program underscores Globe Business’s dedication to empowering the IT-BPM sector with the skilled human capital necessary for continued growth and success.
By equipping the Filipino workforce with advanced skills, Globe Business enables the IT-BPM sector to deliver world-class services and contribute to the nation’s economic momentum. KD Dizon, Head of Globe Business, emphasized the importance of investing in people, stating, “As a partner enabling the digital transformation of businesses, we recognize the importance of investing in people. Through initiatives like this training vouchers program, we support the IT-BPM industry in achieving its 2028 roadmap for growth, employment, and service excellence.”
