Huawei officially announced its newest foldable phone, the Huawei Mate X2, at a press event in China. It sports flexible OLED displays, 5G connectivity, a powerful Kirin flagship chip, and a 4,500mAh battery with Huawei’s 55-watt SuperCharge technology.
The upgrades to the device also lie in its folding mechanism. Huawei incorporated a new and improved multi-dimensional hinge and it enables the phone to be folded inward and a lot smoother without any gaps as a result. The thinnest edge is only at 4.4mm which is quite an achievement.
This phone also packs in a Kirin 9000 chip, the same as the Huawei Mate 40 series, and a smart antenna system that automatically detects signal changes and adjusts whenever needed. On the camera side, it features a quad rear setup with the 50MP UltraVision camera with up to 10x optical RYB Telephoto imaging and up to 100x digital zoom. You can also use the rear camera setup as a selfie camera to further enhance your photos taken with you or your friends.
