Samsung is leaning into gaming as part of its latest retail push, putting the spotlight on its newest flagship smartphones and premium display lineup during the Great Samsung Sale this June.
The company positions the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold7 as devices built not just for daily productivity, but also for competitive and casual gaming, alongside Samsung’s home entertainment products that expand the experience beyond mobile screens.

Why it Matters: Mobile gaming remains a major use case for flagship smartphones in the Philippines, with brands increasingly focusing on performance, thermal efficiency, and ecosystem integration to attract gamers who want a seamless experience across devices.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and features a claimed 24% GPU performance improvement for faster gameplay, smoother frame rates, and quicker loading times. The device also includes an upgraded vapor chamber cooling system to help manage heat during extended gaming sessions.
For visuals, the phone has a flat 120Hz QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display designed for responsive touch input and better visibility in bright environments. Keeping the device running is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is positioned as a multitasking gaming companion, thanks to its 8.0-inch main display and slim 4.2mm unfolded profile. The larger screen offers a wider field of view for gaming, while the thinner design helps reduce hand fatigue during longer sessions.
The foldable is equipped with 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, allowing smoother multitasking while gaming. Flex Mode also enables split-screen use, letting players keep a game running while managing chats or voice coordination apps at the same time.
Samsung also showcased how its wider device ecosystem fits into gaming setups by demonstrating Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay on its premium display lineup, including the Odyssey OLED G7 gaming monitor and OLED S90H TV.

The Odyssey OLED G7 supports 4K resolution at 165Hz, with an option for up to 330Hz at Full HD, alongside a 0.03ms response time aimed at competitive gaming. The OLED S90H features Motion Xcelerator 165Hz and glare reduction technology for smoother visuals and improved contrast.

The Great Samsung Sale runs from June 1 to June 30, with discounts, cashback offers, and trade-in deals available for the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Z Fold7.
Will Samsung’s ecosystem-first gaming approach be enough to convince more Filipino gamers to stay within one brand?
