Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Ultra in the Philippines, marking the company’s entry into the gimbal camera segment with a device that combines professional imaging capabilities, intelligent stabilization, and AI-powered creative tools in a compact design.

Co-engineered with Leica, the Luna Ultra brings together Insta360’s imaging technology and Leica’s optical expertise, targeting creators, filmmakers, and storytellers looking for a portable solution for high-quality content production.
The launch comes as Insta360 Philippines continues to expand its local presence, with the company aiming to grow its retail network to 50 stores nationwide by the end of 2026.
Why it Matters: The Luna Ultra represents Insta360’s move into a new product category while strengthening its position in the creator and imaging market. At the same time, the company’s retail expansion plans could make its products and services more accessible to Filipino consumers.
“As the Insta360 community continues to grow in the Philippines, our focus this year is to further enhance the customer experience through more educational exchanges, community engagement opportunities, and continuous improvements in our after-sales service standards. We believe great products should be matched with great support, helping creators get the most out of their creative journey,” says Henry Hsu, Principal Consultant for Insta360.

At the heart of the Luna Ultra is a dual-camera system featuring a Leica Summicron wide lens and a dedicated telephoto lens. The camera is powered by dual imaging chips and a 4nm AI processor designed to enhance image quality, scene optimization, and overall performance.
The device features a 1-inch sensor capable of capturing 8K video and high-resolution photos. It also supports Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log recording, Leica color profiles, and up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom.
For creators, the Luna Ultra includes a compact 3-axis stabilized gimbal system, a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen for remote monitoring and control, and Deep Track 5.0 AI subject tracking technology. Additional features include PureVideo low-light technology and AI-assisted editing tools.

Insta360 Philippines said it will continue investing in educational initiatives, community engagement programs, and after-sales support as part of its broader customer experience strategy. The company is also considering Cebu as the location for its first flagship store outside China.
