Nothing Headphone (1) Pro now official, priced in the Philippines

Nothing has officially introduced the Headphone (1) Pro, its latest premium over-ear wireless headphones featuring a triple-driver audio system, adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, spatial audio, and high-resolution wired playback.

The Headphone (1) Pro uses three dedicated drivers in each earcup: a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a 13 × 8mm precision dynamic driver, and a solid-state xMEMS driver for high frequencies. The headphones also support LDAC wireless audio and USB-C lossless playback at up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Why it Matters: The Headphone (1) Pro moves Nothing further into the premium headphone market with hardware designed specifically to separate bass, midrange, and treble reproduction. It also combines this audio system with physical controls, adaptive ANC, spatial audio, and a dedicated Flat EQ switch.

The details: The triple-driver system is the main hardware feature of the Headphone (1) Pro. Its 40mm dynamic driver handles low frequencies, while a dedicated 13 × 8mm driver handles precision and midrange reproduction. A solid-state xMEMS driver is responsible for high frequencies.Nothing says the xMEMS driver uses a silicon diaphragm that is 95 times stiffer than plastic. The company designed the system to improve the response and detail of high-frequency sounds.

The headphones are tuned in collaboration with Metropolis Studios and include a dedicated Flat EQ switch. This allows users to quickly switch to a more neutral sound profile without opening the Nothing X app. The app also provides Simple EQ, Advanced EQ, and Personal Sound options.

For wired listening, USB-C supports lossless audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz, while the 3.5mm connection supports audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. Wireless playback supports AAC, SBC, and LDAC, with LC3 available for broadcast audio.

The bigger picture: Nothing has equipped the Headphone (1) Pro with 10 microphones, with five microphones on each side. These are used for its hybrid ANC system, which supports real-time adaptive noise cancellation of up to 46dB.

The headphones also include Transparency Mode and a new 8mm silicone baffle wall designed to improve passive isolation. Dual-layer ear cushions provide additional isolation while maintaining the over-ear design.

Spatial Audio with head tracking is also supported. Users can select from five spatial audio modes through the Nothing X app: Balanced, Studio B, Live House, Concert Hall, and Club.

Between the lines: The Headphone (1) Pro maintains Nothing’s transparent design language while using machined aluminum, titanium alloy arms, and 9H Panda Glass.The headphones weigh 327 grams. Nothing says the titanium alloy arms are 45% lighter than those used on the previous Headphone (1), while the new headband is 10% wider with 12% thicker padding. The ear cushions are also 50% softer.

Physical controls remain central to the design. The Headphone (1) Pro features a roller for volume and playback, a paddle for track and call controls, a customizable button, and a dedicated Flat EQ switch.The customizable button can be configured through Nothing X for supported functions, including smart assistant access and camera controls on compatible devices.

The headphones work with Android and iOS devices and support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. Bluetooth 6.1 also enables dual-device connectivity, allowing the headphones to remain connected to two devices simultaneously.

Battery life is rated at up to 68 hours with ANC disabled and up to 30 hours with ANC enabled when using AAC. With LDAC, the headphones can deliver up to 53 hours with ANC disabled and up to 28 hours with ANC enabled.

A five-minute charge provides up to four hours of playback with ANC turned off or up to two hours with ANC enabled.The Headphone (1) Pro also supports Auracast for compatible broadcast audio and includes automatic wear detection.
