TCL Electronics welcomed its first batch of Philippine business-to-business (B2B) dealers to its air-conditioning manufacturing facility in Guangzhou, China, for a two-day factory tour on September 23 and 24, 2026. The visit gave local partners a closer look at the company’s manufacturing processes, engineering capabilities, and quality testing for residential and commercial air-conditioning systems.

The tour is part of TCL’s efforts to strengthen its relationships with Philippine dealers as it expands its presence in the country’s air-conditioning market. The company plans to continue the initiative throughout the fourth quarter of 2026, with up to 600 dealers and industry stakeholders expected to visit its Guangzhou manufacturing hub.
Why it matters: For Philippine dealers, understanding how air conditioners are designed, manufactured, and tested can help them explain product features to customers and recommend solutions for different cooling needs. The initiative also reflects TCL’s focus on building its local business through stronger dealer relationships and better product knowledge.
The details: The factory tour began at TCL’s Guangzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Base, which has three flexible, highly automated factories, 15 research and development laboratories, and 10 intelligent production lines.
Dealers observed how automation, engineering, and quality control are integrated into the production of TCL’s residential and commercial air-conditioning systems. The visit also covered smart climate controls, precision engineering, and durability testing, giving participants a closer look at the processes behind the company’s cooling products.

TCL’s Guangzhou facility is part of a broader manufacturing network that supports its air-conditioning business. Its Zhongshan Base 1 headquarters specializes in outdoor units, window-type and floor-standing air conditioners, and specialized heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) units.
Other facilities in Zhongshan, Jiujiang, and Wuhan also support production, alongside specialized ventures such as TCL De’Longhi and Rechi Compressor. The company additionally operates manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Argentina, and Indonesia, with new facilities in Pakistan and Thailand planned over the next two years.
According to TCL Philippines Business Development Manager Randy Benito A. Raguero, the company has produced more than 100 million air conditioners over the past five years. He said its investment in smart manufacturing is intended to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality products to customers worldwide, including the Philippines.
The bigger picture: The factory tour is part of TCL’s broader plan to grow its commercial air-conditioning business while maintaining closer ties with local partners.
The company intends to bring several batches of dealers and industry stakeholders to Guangzhou during the fourth quarter of 2026, with up to 600 participants expected across the program.
By opening its manufacturing facilities to dealers, TCL aims to give its partners direct exposure to the technology and processes behind its products. The company also sees the visits as an opportunity to exchange insights and strengthen cooperation as it develops its business in the Philippines.
Between the lines: The initiative places emphasis on dealer education, not just product promotion. Air-conditioning systems can differ in their intended applications, controls, and technical requirements, making product knowledge important when serving residential customers and commercial establishments.
A better understanding of manufacturing and testing processes may help dealers answer customer questions and explain product capabilities more clearly. However, the factory tour itself does not establish how individual models perform in Philippine conditions or provide comparative data on energy efficiency and reliability.
For TCL, the program offers a way to connect its manufacturing capabilities with the people responsible for bringing its products to local customers.
For Filipinos: The Philippine residential and commercial air-conditioning markets serve a wide range of cooling needs, from individual households to larger business establishments. Dealers play an important role in helping customers understand available systems and choose products suited to their spaces.
TCL’s factory immersion program could help local partners become more familiar with the company’s product portfolio and the processes behind it. The company is also seeking to strengthen its relationships with dealers as it pursues further growth in the local market.
What’s next: TCL plans to continue its Guangzhou factory tour series throughout the fourth quarter of 2026. Up to 600 dealers and industry stakeholders are expected to take part in the visits.
The company says the initiative will keep its partners informed about its manufacturing operations and technical capabilities while providing opportunities to exchange knowledge and build stronger business relationships.
The Bottom Line: TCL’s factory tour brought its first batch of Philippine B2B dealers to Guangzhou for a closer look at how its air conditioners are manufactured and tested. With additional visits planned through the end of 2026, the company is using technical familiarization and partner engagement to support its ambitions in the Philippine residential and commercial air-conditioning markets.
