Xpress said it is investing PHP 30 million into its Xpress Go program as part of its efforts to support transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers and expand its Filipino-owned ride-hailing platform.

Why it Matters: As competition in the ride-hailing industry continues to intensify, commission rates and driver incentives remain key factors in attracting and retaining partners. Xpress says its latest initiative aims to help drivers maximize their earnings while promoting a locally owned mobility platform.
“Xpress has grown because Filipinos backed us, businesses, drivers, riders. Filipinos support Filipinos,” said Cabungcal. “PHP 30 million into Xpress Go is our way of giving back to the people who got us here. After the relief period, our commission is 12%, locked in writing, and one of the lowest sustainable rates from any Filipino-owned ride-hailing platform. Para sa ating mga driver. Para sa bayan.”
Founded in March 2022 and officially launched in July 2024, Xpress Super App positions itself as the Philippines’ first Filipino-owned electric vehicle (EV) mobility company. The company was also recognized as a Forbes Asia “100 to Watch” honoree in 2025.
To support its sustainability initiatives, Xpress has acquired more than 120 hybrid and electric vehicles. It has also established partnerships with BYD and Cebuana Lhuillier to help drivers transition to cleaner mobility solutions through financing and vehicle access programs.
The company added that it is exploring further expansion of its EV fleet through potential partnerships with GAC and Hongqi.
