Infinix AI Buds launched with real-time translation via crowdfunding

Infinix has introduced the Infinix AI Buds, a new pair of wireless earbuds that support real-time translation in 162 languages. The product was launched through a global crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, targeting users who want a smarter way to communicate across languages.

Why it Matters: Real-time translation is usually found in more expensive devices or software. Infinix is bringing this feature to a more affordable audio product, which may appeal to students, travelers, and multilingual professionals.

The AI Buds use Infinix’s own CogLabs AI engine to support two translation modes: Conversation Translation for face-to-face talks, and Real-Time Interpretation for listening to speeches or audio. There’s also speech-to-text transcription, which could be helpful for meetings or lectures.

The earbuds come with a transparent charging case that includes a small touchscreen. Users can use the screen to control music, adjust volume, check battery levels, and manage settings without using their phone.

To improve call quality and listening in noisy places, the AI Buds use both Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). These features are powered by AI and can reduce up to 45dB of noise. Dual microphones help ensure calls are clear even in busy environments.

Infinix claims the AI Buds can last up to 36 hours on a single charge with ANC off, or up to 25 hours with ANC on. A smart voice assistant named Folax will also be added in a future update. Users will be able to activate it by saying “Hi Folax” and use voice commands to control playback, get information, or start translation.

Pricing and Availability

The Infinix AI Buds are now available for early backers on Indiegogo starting at $79. Retail availability details will be shared after the crowdfunding campaign ends.
