Red Bull R1V1R Runes Holds 3rd Tournament in the Philippines

The Red Bull R1V1R Runes is happening in the Philippines for the third straight year with players across the country going against each other in a series of 1v1 DOTA 2 battles. At the end of the tournament, only one winner will be declared as the national champion holder, Ruler of the River.

Red Bull R1v1r Runes is a custom map built in the DOTA 2 environment where players will have a fast-paced 1v1 mirror matchup. In order for a player to progress through the tournament, they must first achieve three kills or score the first kill on an enemy T1 Tower.  

Joining the tournament is free and open to all amateur and professional players in the Philippines who are above the age of 18. It will consist of national qualifiers where the top 2 players from each qualifier will move on to the National Finals that will be held on November 27, 2021.

The National Finals champion will be awarded exclusive prizes and the opportunity to face one of the members of Team OG. It is the only team to win successive titles at the annual esports world championship tournament for DOTA 2, The International.

Registration and qualifiers will commence on the following dates:

  • November 5-21 – Tournament Registration
  • November 13 – Qualifier 1
  • November 14 – Qualifier 2
  • November 20 – Qualifier 3
  • November 21 – Last Chance Qualifier
  • November 27 – National Finals

To increase their chances of making it to the National Finals, players have the opportunity to register for all 3 qualifier rounds. 128 players will be playing in each qualifying round and only the top 2 players will be moving on to complete the 8-man roster who will battle against each other at the National Finals.
