Globe Telecom (Globe) expands its 5G coverage to more countries in Europe including Greece, Slovakia, Ireland, Germany, and United Kingdom, making it the only Philippine telecommunications provider with the widest 5G network coverage in the continent.

The telco has established 5G roaming partnerships in Greece with Cosmote, in Slovakia through O2, and in Ireland and UK through Vodafone. These add to Globe’s existing list of European partners which includes Bulgaria through Vivacom, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden through Telia Company, Italy through Telecom Italia, Czech Republic through O2, Switzerland through Swisscom, Greece via Cosmote, and Germany through Vodafone.

“As we continue to partner with more 5G-ready telcos around the world, our goal is always to deliver a high-speed data roaming experience that’s convenient and easy to use so our customers can safely navigate and stay in control even while abroad during this time,” said Coco Domingo, Globe Vice President for Postpaid and International.

Globe subscribers can avail of 5G roaming services by registering to Roam Surf 399 that has all-day data for Postpaid and 1GB for Prepaid. In addition, Roam Surf Plus is a PHP 200 add-on on top of the data promo that gives customers all-day calls and texts for Postpaid, 60 mins, and 60 texts for Prepaid.

At the same time, Globe’s international telco partner operators can also allow their subscribers who visit the Philippines to enjoy 5G roaming as long as they are using a 5G-enabled phone in 5G locations.
