PLDT covered the lower-tier segment starting at 35Mbps and is succeeded by their mid-tier offering at 50Mbps. It jumps to 100Mbps where their high-tier offers start and is succeeded by 200Mbps, 600Mbps, and 1Gbps. Looking at the price, PLDT charges higher compared to others but not as high as Globe as their nearest competitor. However, they started charging higher than Globe at 200Mbps and up. And to compensate for that, they bundled a free landline across their lineup with unlimited calls to any PLDT landline.
Globe offers almost the same as PLDT but with a few differences. They have more lower-tier options starting at 20Mbps, 25Mbps, and 35Mbps. 50Mbps is also their mid-tier offering and is succeeded by their high-tier offering starting at 100Mbps and is succeeded by 200Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps. Across the lineup except for the entry-level 20Mbps, they also bundled a free landline with unlimited calls to Globe and TM as well as limited-time access to some of the well-known video streaming services, a health consultation service, Globe’s in-house insurance for their customers, and a VIP hotline at plan 50Mbps and up. (Update 9/15/21: Globe has announced a new Plan 1,499 with up to 35Mbps speeds, putting it at par with Converge.)
Converge is the most comprehensive and most flexible of the four. Their newest offering is what they call “Time of Day” where customers get to choose the speed depending on the time of day when they need it. However, it is priced a little higher compared to their existing offers but their customers have more options to choose from, unlike their other three competitors. Converge claims that customers can save as much as PHP 600 with twice the speed if they availed the “Time of Day”. On their existing offers, they start with 35Mbps as the lower-tier. Jumping into 100Mbps and 200Mbps as their mid-tier offering, we can see that it is higher compared to the others. The lineup continues with its high-tier offering at 400Mbps and 800Mbps. Price-wise, they are cheaper compared to PLDT and Globe and much closer to SKY but they offer more high-speed options across their lineup. On the downside, they do not have any add-ons as PLDT and Globe does.
SKY, at the low-tier segment, offers the cheapest among the four starting at 20Mbps for PHP 999. Their mid-tier segment starts at 40Mbps and jumps to 80Mbps and their high-tier segment starts at 120Mbps and jumps to 200Mbps as the maximum speed offer. They are still cheaper compared to PLDT and Globe but are closer to Converge in terms of pricing. Across their lineup, they are offering free access to AirConsole Hero which is an online game streaming platform. Customers can also choose from some of the well-known video streaming services as an add-on to their subscription.
