OPPO has announced that it will launch the Reno 5 smartphones in the Philippines, and here’s what we’ve learned so far.
The newest smartphone from the global brand highlights videography-centric features for movie making such as Ultra Night Mode, Live HDR, Dual-View Video, AI Color, and Monochrome Portrait Videos. Its camera expertise is said to not be underestimated as well with a 64-megapixel quad rear camera setup, as well as a whopping 44-megapixel shooter for selfies.
It also features the newest iteration of OPPO’s ColorOS based on Android 11, and has a 4,300mAh battery capacity with support for very fast 65-watt charging.

Here’s what we know so far: Blind pre-orders for the OPPO Reno 5 start today, January 22, and will end on February 10. If you’re interested to purchase one, simply drop by an OPPO store or an authorized dealer and pay PHP 1,000 to reserve a unit. If we are to believe the posts we’re seeing online, both the 4G and 5G variants of this smartphone will arrive in the country, with prices yet to be announced.
Multiple postings from several sites confirm that the blind pre-orders come with a free KUYOU SmartWatch that’s said to be worth PHP 3,999. The unit will also come with a 12+1 month warranty, and a 30-day replacement warranty. We’ll update this page with more information as we get it.
