Samsung Philippines is silently rolling out new Galaxy A-series phones: The Galaxy A22 and its 5G counterpart, both sporting big batteries, multiple rear cameras, and Samsung’s own OneUI right out of the box.
Despite being similar in the series name, these phones offer cosmetic and hardware differences, most notably on the notches. The A22 features a rounded Infinity-U display, while the 5G variant has the Infinity-V display. They also have varied camera setups at the back with the A22 having four and the 5G variant with only three cameras. The A22 display is also smaller at 6.4 inches at HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate

Both of these phones have a 5000mAh battery capacity with a 15-watt fast charging feature, and a variety of flashy colors including mint and violet. We’re also getting bumped hardware from the UK model as both units have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 and A22 5G will retail in the Philippines for PHP 11,990 and PHP 13,990, respectively, according to listings and responses we got from those in the Facebook Marketplace. It’s said to officially launch on July 1, but they are now allowed to offer the 5G variants as early as this week. Samsung sales reps also mentioned the phone being offered online via credit cards and Home Credit, and early buyers will receive a freebie to go with their purchase.
