Apple has announced that eligible iPhone 11 units are qualified for a free touch display module replacement program. Here’s how you can avail of the free offer.
The Cupertino-based tech company has announced that they will replace touch display modules of erring iPhone 11 units sold between November 2019 until May 2020, due to unforseen issues with unresponsive touch inputs. They attribute this to the main display module installed in the phone.
Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. Affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.

As such, eligible iPhone 11 owners can immediately file for a free replacement or a refund if the phone was already serviced. Here’s how:
- Check this page and enter your phone’s serial number to know if your iPhone 11 is eligible for display module replacement.
- If eligible, find an Apple Authorized Service Provider nearest you.
- Make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store.
- Contact Apple Support to arrange mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center.
Apple recommends to backup your iPhone to iCloud or your computer before sending it in for repairs. For those who paid earlier on for this specific issue, you can contact Apple about a refund. This free replacement, however, does not extend the phone’s warranty coverage period and is a one-time offer for iPhone 11 units for two years after the first retail sale of the unit.
