Global smartphone brand OPPO unveils its new brand proposition and new tech innovations at the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona.
“Inspiration Ahead” is the smartphone brand’s newest brand proposition that aims to channel optimism and inspiration to rise against challenges and difficulties and to reinforce the proper mindset needed to move forward.

New 5G Flagship Smartphone
The OPPO Find X5 Series is the brand’s newest flagship smartphone that boasts a futuristic design and includes a dedicated imaging Neural Processing Unit, the MariSilicon X. At the back is a dual Sony IMX766 camera system that is equipped with Hasselblad Natural Colour Calibration. It also has ultra-fast 5G connectivity and SuperVOOC Flash Charging technology.
In addition, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that offers 30% higher performance and 25% power efficiency than the previous generation, in addition to enhanced AI capabilities.
New SuperVOOC Flash Charge Technologies
OPPO also officially unveils the latest 150W SuperVOOC flash charge technology that can charge a 4500mAh battery to 50% in just 5 minutes and deliver a 100% charge in 15 minutes. The new charging technology also helps keep the battery performing at 80% of its original capacity after as many as 1,600 charge cycles – double the current industry standard of 800 cycles.
To improve battery health, safety, and performance by optimizing the hardware and software, the 150W SuperVOOC flash charge features the Battery Health Engine. This is powered by OPPO’s customized battery management chip and includes two key technologies: Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing Technology.
And with its 240W SuperVOOC flash charge, OPPO is taking a holistic approach to the safety of the adapter, charging cable, and handset by minimizing potential safety hazards and risks and providing an efficient and secure charging solution. It adapts five safety protection measures and an intelligent control chip to control the voltage, current, and temperature to deliver a safe charging solution.
The 240W SuperVOOC also has a customized battery safety monitoring chip to monitor battery damages, and 13 temperature sensors to reduce overheating and avoid abnormalities. Thanks to this, it can charge a 4500mAh battery to 100% in just 9 minutes.
Converting 5G to WiFi
The OPPO 5G CPE T2 is the latest in OPPO’s 5G CPE product lineup that converts 5G signals into Wi-Fi or LAN network connections and allows multiple devices to connect to a 5G service in environments such as the home and office.
It features a Qualcomm SnapdragonTM X62 5G modem-RF system and OPPO O-Reserve 2.0 smart antenna technology. The brand has currently reached agreements with operators across the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Europe to use the 5G CPE technology in the second half of 2022.
Expect these new technologies from OPPO to be commercially available throughout 2022.
