ASUS has officially launched the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra in the Philippines, introducing its latest premium business laptop built for professionals, executives, and enterprise users. The launch also marked the first visit of ASUS Co-CEO Samson Hu to the Philippines. During the event, the company shared its plans to strengthen its commercial PC business in the country, citing continued growth in its enterprise segment while positioning the ExpertBook Ultra as the flagship of its Expert Series lineup.

Why it Matters: As artificial intelligence becomes more integrated into everyday work, businesses are looking beyond traditional laptops and toward devices capable of handling AI-assisted workloads locally. New processors with dedicated AI hardware are allowing applications such as transcription, translation, content generation, and data analysis to run more efficiently while reducing reliance on cloud services. The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra joins a growing number of premium business laptops designed to meet these changing workplace requirements.

Designed with mobility in mind, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra features a magnesium-aluminum chassis that weighs as little as 0.99 kg and measures 10.9 mm thin. ASUS says the aerospace-grade material and Nano Ceramic Technology coating improve durability while keeping the laptop light enough for professionals who frequently travel or work in different locations.

Powering the laptop are up to Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processors paired with Intel Arc integrated graphics and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. The system also supports up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 9600 MT/s and PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage, allowing the device to handle demanding workloads such as multitasking, large datasets, AI applications, and content creation.

As part of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC platform, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra supports AI-powered experiences while ASUS adds its own MyExpert AI suite. The software includes AI ExpertMeet for meetings and presentations, along with Knowledge Hub, which enables users to search and organize local documents using AI without relying entirely on cloud-based processing.

The laptop is equipped with a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen display featuring a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and HDR peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits. ASUS says the Tandem OLED panel also improves power efficiency compared to conventional OLED displays while extending panel lifespan. Audio is handled by a six-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system.

Security remains a major focus of the laptop. ASUS equips the ExpertBook Ultra with TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton security, dual self-healing BIOS, Windows Hello facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, a physical webcam privacy shutter, and compliance with the NIST SP 800-193 firmware resilience standard. These features are intended to help organizations protect business data and reduce security risks in enterprise environments.

Ahead of its official launch, ASUS Business Philippines provided the ExpertBook Ultra to several business executives for an extended hands-on trial. Among those who shared their experiences during the event were RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva, Happy Skin and BLK Cosmetics Co-Founder and CEO Jacqueline Gutierrez, and Converge ICT Solutions Senior Vice President and Head of SME Business Group Dindo Marzan. A panel discussion also featured broadcaster Rico Hizon and actress and entrepreneur Gabbi Garcia, who discussed how AI and modern computing continue to shape the workplace.
