Epson has expanded its EcoTank printer portfolio with eight new models designed for homes, home offices, and small businesses. The new lineup includes the L1310, L1350, L3310, L3316, L3350, L3356, L5390, and L5396, bringing updated features, improved durability, and lower operating costs to users looking for high-volume printing solutions.

Why it matters: As more Filipinos continue to work, study, and run businesses from home, demand for affordable printers with low running costs remains strong. Epson’s latest EcoTank models build on the company’s refillable ink tank system by introducing workflow improvements, mobile connectivity, and easier maintenance while maintaining the cost efficiency the lineup is known for.
The details: The new EcoTank printers use 65ml CMYK ink bottles capable of producing up to 4,700 black-and-white pages and up to 7,500 color pages on a full refill. The higher page yields are intended to reduce printing costs for households and businesses that regularly print documents, reports, school requirements, and photos.
Epson has also redesigned the refill system with color-coded tank keys and dedicated bottle slots to help users refill ink more easily while reducing the risk of using the wrong color.
Durability is another focus of the new generation. Every model is designed to support up to 50,000 printed pages under warranty and now includes a replaceable Maintenance Box that allows users to perform basic maintenance without sending the printer to a service center. A Semi-Automatic Print Adjustment feature also helps maintain print alignment and color accuracy over time.
The lineup introduces a more compact industrial design, with Epson saying the new printers occupy up to 20% less desk space than previous generations. The integrated ink tank design, larger paper tray, and improved paper support are also intended to provide smoother paper handling while reducing paper curl.

Several models also receive upgraded connectivity features. The L1350, L3350, L3356, L5390, and L5396 support the Epson Smart Panel app, allowing users to set up the printer, monitor its status, scan documents, and perform copying tasks using a smartphone or tablet. The app also supports scanning multiple pages into a single PDF and basic file editing before saving or sharing.
These models are likewise compatible with Apple AirPrint and Mopria, enabling wireless printing from supported mobile devices without requiring additional drivers.
Meanwhile, the L1310, L3310, and L3316 retain USB 2.0 connectivity, offering a straightforward option for users who primarily print from a single computer.
At the top of the lineup, the Epson EcoTank L5390 and L5396 offer additional productivity features, including an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for handling multi-page scanning and copying tasks, as well as built-in fax functionality for offices that continue to rely on document transmission.
Across the entire lineup, Epson continues to use its Heat-Free Technology, which consumes less power than conventional laser printing systems by eliminating the need for heat during the printing process.
According to Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing at Epson Philippines, the new EcoTank generation combines faster performance, improved durability, and more intuitive features to support businesses and home users looking to improve productivity while managing printing costs.
The new EcoTank printers became available beginning June 30 through Epson Authorized Dealers nationwide.
The bigger picture: Refillable ink tank printers continue to gain popularity as consumers seek alternatives to cartridge-based printers that often have higher long-term operating costs. Features such as wireless printing, mobile management, and simplified maintenance have also become increasingly important as hybrid work and home-based businesses become more common.
Manufacturers are also placing greater emphasis on sustainability by reducing waste through refillable ink systems while lowering energy consumption with more efficient printing technologies.
Between the lines: Rather than introducing a completely new printing platform, Epson has focused on refining the EcoTank experience through practical improvements. The combination of higher durability, easier maintenance, and expanded wireless features reflects the changing needs of home users and small businesses that rely on printers every day.
For Filipinos: The expanded EcoTank lineup gives consumers and small businesses more choices depending on their needs, whether it’s an entry-level print-only model for schoolwork or a more capable all-in-one printer with wireless connectivity and an automatic document feeder for office use.
What’s next: Epson is expected to continue expanding its EcoTank portfolio with additional models and software enhancements as demand grows for cost-efficient printing solutions that support hybrid work, education, and small business operations.
The Bottom Line: Epson’s latest EcoTank printers build on the strengths of the company’s refillable ink system by adding improved durability, smarter mobile features, and a more compact design. With eight new models covering a range of printing needs, the lineup aims to provide homes and small businesses with more efficient and economical printing options.
