Globe joins Opensignal’s Global Rising Stars for the third straight year

Excellent performance recorded in 5 categories against global peers

Globe Telecom (Globe) was recognized by OpenSignal, an independent mobile analytics firm, as a Global Rising Star for the third straight year in its 2022 Global Mobile Network Experience Awards report. The telco giant joins the top 30 operators worldwide and has excelled in five categories: 4G Availability, Video Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, and Upload Speed Experience.

Between the second half of 2020 and the same period in 2021, Globe posted a 6.6% improvement in 4G availability against the global average of 0.7%. While video experience results jumped by 17.4%, better than the global average of 3.5%. In addition, the telco also recorded an 8.6% hike in Voice App Experience, better than the 1% global mean score.

On the other hand, Globe has also increased its download and upload speed experience ratings by 51.3% and 36.5%, respectively, compared to the worldwide average of 28% for download and 20.9% for upload.
