Smart Communications has started accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z8 Series in the Philippines, giving subscribers access to storage upgrades, trade-in discounts, installment options, and bundled smartwatch offers from July 22 to August 13, 2026.

Why it matters: Smart is using Samsung’s latest foldable lineup to strengthen its premium postpaid portfolio while making flagship devices more accessible through financing, trade-in programs, and value-added services.
The details: The pre-order promotion covers the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8, which were unveiled during Samsung’s latest Galaxy Unpacked event.
Customers who successfully pre-order through Smart Postpaid or Smart Infinity can receive a complimentary storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB, worth up to PHP 14,000 depending on the model. They will also receive three months of Samsung Care+, subject to Samsung’s applicable terms and availability.
Under Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1999, subscribers can purchase the following devices through straight payment or up to 24-month zero-interest installment using participating Metrobank, Security Bank, BPI, UnionBank, HSBC, and RCBC credit cards:

| Samsung Galaxy Watch9 | PHP 867/month |
Smart said its All-New Postpaid Plans+ also include UNLI App Bundles, Open Access Data, unlimited 5G for 12 months in select covered areas, and network prioritization for eligible subscribers.
The bigger picture: Philippine mobile operators continue to position premium smartphones alongside long-term service plans as flagship device prices continue to increase. Storage upgrade incentives, trade-in programs, and zero-interest financing have become standard offerings to encourage customers to upgrade while remaining within the operator’s ecosystem.
For higher-end subscribers, Smart is also making the Galaxy Z Fold8 Series available under Infinity Plan 5000 and Infinity Plan 8000. These plans include unlimited data, calls, and texts, roaming-ready connectivity, dedicated relationship managers, airport lounge access, concierge services, and other Infinity-exclusive privileges.
Smart is likewise expanding its partnership with Samsung through its Trade-In Program. Customers who reserve a Galaxy Z8 Series device during the pre-order period can trade in eligible smartphones at participating Smart Stores once the devices officially become available.
Eligible trade-ins can provide up to PHP 14,000 in additional discounts, which can be combined with Smart’s pre-order storage upgrade offer.

Between the lines: Beyond the smartphones themselves, Smart is also encouraging customers to adopt Samsung’s broader Galaxy ecosystem by bundling the latest wearable devices with eligible plans.
The operator is offering the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 alongside the Galaxy Z8 Series. Subscribers can also activate Smart Device Link, allowing compatible LTE smartwatches to share the same mobile number and plan inclusions as their smartphone.
First-time Device Link subscribers who activate the service until September 30, 2026 can use the feature free for six months.
Subscribers bundling a Galaxy smartwatch with their Galaxy Z8 Series device can save up to 20% compared to the smartwatch’s suggested retail price. Smart said the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 LTE starts at PHP 1,525 per month, while the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 starts at PHP 867 per month under eligible plans.
For Filipinos: Consumers planning to upgrade to Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones may find additional value by purchasing through Smart instead of buying devices outright. The combination of storage upgrades, installment financing, trade-in discounts, bundled protection, and smartwatch offers could reduce the overall cost of ownership for subscribers already using Smart’s postpaid services.
The promotion also highlights how local carriers are increasingly packaging smartphones, wearables, connectivity, and after-sales services into a single ecosystem instead of simply selling devices.
What’s next: Smart’s Samsung Galaxy Z8 Series pre-order period runs until August 13, 2026. Pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Z8 Series with Smart Postpaid Plans at
smart.com.ph/galaxypreorder, or Smart Infinity Plans at this website, or visit the nearest Smart Store.
The Bottom Line: Smart is complementing Samsung’s newest foldables with storage upgrades, trade-in incentives, financing options, and wearable bundles to encourage customers to upgrade while remaining within its postpaid ecosystem.
